This work is aimed at gaining the self-awareness and acceptance necessary for reclaiming one’s freedom, authenticity, and power.
My approach to Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) is inspired by the deep feminine. The focus is a wisdom-based understanding of the material — interweaving traditional ACT philosophy, metaphor, and experiential exercises with extemporaneous teaching, dyad inquiry, and women’s circle. It’s important to mention that group events are not, in fact, group therapy. Instead, they’re a powerful opportunity for each person to do her own work within the context of gathering together. When gathering in person, at my house, we are supported by the little extras that aid integration (e.g. beauty, nature, nourishment, connection).
The vision is an inspired community encouraging and sustaining one another in the process of self-discovery so that we might shift the collective. For the past decade, I’ve been calling this work “Gather & Amplify.”
Pema Chödrön on Self-Awareness:
“The most fundamental aggression to ourselves, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently."
